Dearest Wendy and Howe Family,
Our Eddie "Bob" will be so deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of his company, enthusiasm for life, and wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember him joking around with another proud Irishman, my Mother. I know she felt a kinship with him because of his Irish spirit and also because like her own father, Bob was called to become a fireman. After meeting all the Howe family at calling hours we are comforted by your loving support for our Wendy.

To the Howe family,
I wish to extend my condolences and I'm sorry that I will not be there in person. I met Ed even before the Fire Alarm Office around 1978, when I drove the canteen and he would always go out of his way to say hello at an extra alarm! I will always remember him as a good friend and he will surely be missed by all!
