Edward Griffith Obituary

Griffith Jr., Edward "Towhead" 72C30180 passed away on June 29, 2002. Edward was known for his steadfast loyalty and fashion sense. Serving as Manager of Midway Wholesale, Inc. for more than 40 years under the leadership of Mr. Thomas Rand, his dedication was exemplified by a record of perfect attendance and top performance. He became an award winning fashion icon for style and dress. Moments shared by traveling the world with his family were his most precious gifts. Preceded in death by his father Edward Sr. and sister Barbara Jean Griffith, he leaves to mourn his dear mother Geraldine, devoted wife Rosetta, loving daughter Geannine Mother, adoring sisters, Christine, Doris and Wanda, cherished brothers Leonard and Maurice, three grandchildren, four nieces, two nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends. Celebration of his home going takes place Friday, July 5, 2002 at Cage Memorial Chapel, 7651 South Jeffrey Blvd., Chicago, Illinois. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by funeral serivces at 11 a.m. Interment follows the services at Oakwood Cemetery, 1035 East 67th Street, Chicago, IL, 60637. Viewing will be from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002.
