Mr. Barry seemed like a person who enjoyed life and the people around him flourished because of this. Enjoying my life living it the best I know how and riding my motorcycle has finally given me that joy for life.

I am always saddened to hear of fellow riders demise regardless of cause. Not having known Edward Barry personally, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the memorial video. I watched this up-beat video, and after reflecting, I felt as if I knew what kind of person Edward was, and a warm and friendly feeling overcame me. Our passing is only the next phase of our existence.

Ed was a true friend with unconditional loyalty and dedication to his job and fellow union members.
When I met Ed 15 years ago I immediately knew he was a man of great character and someone I would be friends with.
As a union official, Ed's dedication and loyalty to Local 143's members was always first class.
I personnaly will truly miss Ed, my friend and on behalf of the members of Local 143 I offer our condolances to Linda and Ed's mother and sister.
Local 143 has lost a great friend and Chicago Public Schools has lost a great Engineer. His void will be felt for many years.
Thank you Ed, for the privilage of being your friend.

I knew and loved Ed as my "Lil Brother" for the past 5-6 years. We were very much alike in a lot of ways. Always saying the same things at the same time, laughing, sharing and bickering, like siblings.
Ed aka Woody was an active member of our online woodworking chat group and we will miss him very much! God will take care of him now and we can find peace knowing that.
