Edith Hansen Obituary
Edith Lucille Hansen, 90, recently of Orem, Utah, passed away February 2, 2008, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born July 18, 1917, in Fairfield, Utah, to Marvin Dean and Edith Pearl (Chamberlain) Cook. Lucille married AC Hansen on November 16, 1938, in the Logan Temple.
She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many capacities, including Stake Primary President and Ward Young Women's MIA President. AC and Lucille served for many years in the Idaho Falls Temple and the Provo Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her children, DuRell (Donna) Hansen, Carol Lynn (Richard) Allen, Myra (Wayne) Taylor, and Shari (Ernest) Lawes, as well as by many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Lola (Ray) Rigby, and her three brothers, Delwin, Blaine, and Reed Cook.
She dearly loved her family and her many friends. Thank you to all who have loved and served her in any way.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Sharon Park Third Ward Chapel, 200 North, 200 East, Orem, Utah, with a prior viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Orem City Cemetery.

Though I only had the opportunity to speak with Lucille a few times, she struck me as being a very
sweet and fun lady. Please accept my condolences in the loss of your sweet mother and grandmother.

Dear Family:
It has been a delight to hear from and get to know Lucille after she moved to Orem. We talked many times about our genealogy and I learned so much that I didn't know as we shared our thoughts and stories about our family.
We are sorry to hear of her passing, but also know that she was anxiously awaiting her reunion with her family on the other side.
We send our condolences to all of you at this time. May our Heavenly Father bless and keep you as you begin the process of healing from her loss.
I am Murrel and Jim Carson's oldest Granddaughter (I belong to Verna and Alma Peterson) and am as proud of our shared heritage as Lucille was.

Dear Family:
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She was and is a delightful Lady and we so enjoyed talking with her and all of her memories of the Idaho period of our "Cook" lives.
We know too that she is in a better place and with many of those who she loved and missed, most especially her AC.
Please know that we are thinking of her.
