Mary,

Earl and I shared many stories, complaints and laughs while we were going through our treatments at about the same time. When we finished the main chemo he was always jealous at the way my hair came back compared to his. Our talking about what we were going through and his enciuragement and prayers were of great blessing to me and I hope that he had the same feelings. Please remember all of the good times you had and how vibrant, healthy and upbeat he was. Apparently the Lord is not through with me in this lifetime but I cannot wait to see him in the next life and see what type of hair he has.

Mary, I'm so sorry to hear about Earl's passing. I met you and Earl many years ago when Earl worked in Franklin Park with my late husband Buster Yager. My entire family and I were devistated when we found out that Mr. Field passed away. He was the most wonderful person I have ever known. I will miss seeing him in church and at the village hall. I remember sitting with Earl one day at Ridgemoor and talking with him about his treatment. I will never forget how strong he was and how he told me he had to be strong because all the people who he loved-- he wanted them to be strong too. Earl was, without a doubt, the greatest man I have ever met and ever will meet. He has definitely changed most of us for the better and will be missed greatly. My condolences go out to the Field Family.

It has been a looong time & I am ashamed that it took a tragic event for me to reach out to you again. I was actually thinking about you yesterday when I heard the news. My family would like to extend our deepest condolences to you, Brian, Mrs. Field, and the rest of your family. Your father was truly a great man and will be remembered always. Even though we haven't seen each other in quite some time, I still used to brag about how I knew the Mayor of Norridge & his family. I (as well as many others) am lucky to have known him and your family.

My deepest sympathies to the Field Family and Earl's many friends. We grew up together in Melrose Park and were members of St. Joseph High School Class of '64.

I was truly sorry to hear about my friend Earl. We both know that he is now with God in a better place with his suffering gone. I managed LaSalle Bank, located on Harlem Avenue for 10 years and always looked forward to Earl stopping in to say hello. Earl always looked after the seniors in our community, often using the bank lobby to offer blood pressure screening for the elderly. Besides being a kind, thoughtful and understanding person, he was the best joke teller I have ever met. I will miss you my friend!

mary and family i worked with earl at lincolnwood earl took me under his wing when i was to old get on a fire dept he sent me to paramedic school i hadnt seen earl for quite a few years i will miss him very much i will always remember the good years i had working with and for him may the lord bless you and your family during these hard times

We met Earl at Gottlieb Health and Fitness Center. He always had a smile on his face and a good word for everyone. I remember him giving his wife, Mary, the utimate compliment. He always said, "She is his best friend."

I first met Earl at St. Rosalie Church. He was a blessing to the parish and to everyone. He gave of his time and talents unselfishly. I pray for your healing during this difficult time.
