I was so sorry to hear about Doug. Unfortunately, I left S&C while he was recovering from his first surgery and we were never able to visit in person. I did speak with him on the phone and was hoping to see him at the IEEE show in Chicago in April. Doug was a true friend to me at work. He never tried to overshadow me or anyone even though his knowledge and abilities regarding our business far exceeded mine. I enjoyed sitting in his office and just talking about nothing and it was always a welcome break when he stopped in to chat with me. Both of you were good friends to Joanne and me while we were in Chicago.
I don't know what his last days were like, but I'm sure he was optimistic to the end. I'm sure he's in a better place now. Our best to you as you cope with this loss.
