I was thinking about you, and I wrote this for you...
Fly Away
I’m sorry that you could not stay
When God called you, it was time to fly away
You blessed our lives with your radiant smile
And your infectious laugh always kept me cheery for a while
I know that it was hard for you to leave here on Earth
However, in death, God promises rebirth
We will always love you and have you in our prayers
Now that Saint Peter has led you through the Gate of No More Tears
You will live on forever in His eternal kingdom, and in my heart
For I know that we are never really far apart
It may seem like forever, but someday we will all reunite
And see God’s angels blanketed in everlasting light
Until then I know that you will watch over us
Please know that I am comforted, for now you’re with Jesus

Hi Auntie Dorothy,
I was just thinking about you today, and I'm sure that you know that I started school at Loyola. I really enjoy it a lot, and I know that I am one step closer to my dream. I will have to start thinking about medical school soon too! = ) Love you! XOXOX

Hi Dorothy,
Went to a bar-b-Q at Sheri's a couple of weeks ago and saw your kids and husband. They all miss you terribly. But we had a good time talking about all the things you did. Like feeding your grandkids snacks before dinner...etc. You have a wonderful family and should be very proud of them. You did a great job.!!!! You are in my prayers every day. And even though we only got to see each other on special occasions, it was always a special occasion to talk with you.....Love....Cookie

Dear Mom,
Today was the day that God gave the world you. Your life was filled with light, fun, happiness, and blessings. You were the greatest Mom ever and as a Grandmother you outdid yourself. I miss you so much especially this day. But, I do know that you are celebrating with your Mom and family, and for what it's worth that gives me comfort. Happy Birthday Mom. I love you and miss you more and more each day.
Love,
Amy (and family)

Buon Compleano my Dear Friend.....
I know you are celebrating with great joy, beacuse in "Heaven" there are no feelings of sorrow as there are here on earth..And you can eat all the birthday cake you wish..no calories Dor...
As the Fall came upon me, my thoughts were of you and how you loved this season..decorating the house with all the decor you collected from your many many trips to the craft shows... I will never loose what is in my heart for you...all our special times we shared.. Happy Birthday to a Very Very Special Lady....

Hey Ma,
Well this weekend me and Lena went to the lake for our weekend getaway. Saturday we sat and talked with dad. He came out to turn the water on for us. What a guy! The three of us sat and had a nice talk and a pretty good cry. When dad left Lena and I played some cards, it was very hard to find a full playing deck, but there were plenty of pinochle decks!! Sunday we cleaned, Lena being the professional cleaner was on a roll and did most of it. It was strange being there without you as I am sure it will be for a while. But your presence was everywhere. I took all of the blankets and sheets home to wash, except for your frog pillowcase. I can't bring myself to wash it as I can smell you on it (that's a good thing, ha ha). Also, Hannah has inherited your "Jesus Loves You" slippers. I know you are watching over us.
Love you miss you and always thinking of you,
Amy, Tim, and the kids

Amy & Family,
I just wanted you all to know how much reading your entries has completly moved me & touched my heart. Although I didn't know your mother as well as everyone else, I knew her through you & the girls. I knew she was an incredible mother & grandmother and was apparently very particular about kitchen sponges (I never realized until cleaning up the kitchen at the lake house that she had a system with those things, oops!) I am happy for you & your family (especially your dad) that you have this site to come to. I know your mother would be honored at this beautiful expression of love that are in these entries. hang in there & I'm here for you if you ever need anything !!!
Love,
Tara

Hi Mom,
Happy Mothers Day. I thought I would let you know the day went pretty well. The girls kept me occupied and busy. They played in their sprinklers. I say sprinklers because first they played in the regular one and then they got out the Spongebob one. Then we colored and played play-doh. I miss you more than words can say and anyone could ever know. Wish Gram and Aunti Helen a Happy Mothers Day for me and send everyone else my love.
Missing you everyday,
Amy

Doesn't a day go by
Of which I think of you
Remembering all the good times
Oh, how I wish that you were here
Too many tears have fallen
Hearts are forever broken
Yet our lives must go on...'til we meet again.

To my mother with whom I have shared both GREAT and not so great moments with. She was always the one to point out the positive side of things. A woman who with 2 children carried with all of the strength and love any mother could possibly muster. My mother was loved by everyone. She was a strong woman that would be the best role model to follow for every day life and motherhood. I hope I made you proud and I will miss you every day of my life, but also know you will be with me... Who do I call now? I will just have to look to the sky. You were and always will be the best mother/person ever....

Dear Ed,Amy,Dave
I wrote this right after I hung up the phone, after hearing of my aunts death,- I beleive if we could keep our love for her alive, she'll be alive forever in our hearts.
Almost like it was whispered in my ear. ( meant to use it for a toast at the lunchoen, but I thought I would loose it - crying).
you're leaving?
you're gone?
you're here
you're near
as long as
you're in my heart
we'll never part.
Good Bye Aunty Dorthy
We all love you
