Dorothy General Obituary

General, Dorothy Sophie (nee Wojciechowski) General, 90, died peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin on November 21, 2011. She was born in Chicago, IL, to Catherine (Gniadek) and Samuel Wojciechowski on February 6, 1921. She grew up in Chicago, moved to Fox Lake in 1956, and Hemet, CA in 1990. She resided in Antioch, IL for the last 8 years. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards and games, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Antioch Womans Club. She is survived by her children, Craig (Doris) McMullen of Moraga, California, Cathy (Anthony) Adams of Fairfield, California, Carol McMullen of Antioch, Illinois, and Chris (Connie) McMullen of Reno, Nevada; her grandchildren, Joelle (David) Gebo, Renee (Michael) Tolajian, Todd (Nancy) McMullen, Michelle (Stephen) Perotti-Kline, Jennifer Lentine, Adrienne McMullen, Tara McMullen, Chase McMullen, and Krystal McMullen; her great-grandchildren, Lela Tolajian, Vivian Tolajian, Dugan Perotti-Kline, Connor McMullen, Lily Lindner and Delaney McMullen. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter R. McMullen who died October 26, 1952; husband, Melvin R. General who died January 22, 2003; sister Irene Cwick, brother Bill Walters, and her parents, Catherine and Samuel Wojciechowski. Graveside services will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Adalbert's Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 am, gathering at main office at 10:30 a.m. (6800 Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, IL 60714 847-647-9845).
