Dorothy Childress Obituary

Childress, Dorothy M. 84, of Punta Gorda, FL, and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away June 17, 2004. She was the daughter of Henry and Minerva (Smith) Rein, born October 25, 1919 in Chicago, IL. She came to this area in 1973, from Chicago and was a supervisor in the business office of Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her son, Barry Childress, MD, and daughter-in-law, Gene Childress, both of Oak Park, IL; grandsons, Brett (Jennifer) Childress of Austin, TX and Brian Childress of Seattle, WA; and great-grandchildren, Nicole, Alyssa, Sydney and Steven Childress, all of Austin, TX. The service in celebration of Dorothy's life will be at noon Saturday, July 10th, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda.
