I will be reminded of Aunt Doreen every time someone calls my name or I say my name to someone as I was named after her. I hope that I can carry on the name in a way that would make her proud as it will not be easy following in her footsteps. I will miss her a great deal.

Doreen,
I know you are in Heaven. Even though we only talked on the phone recently I'll miss your sweet voice and ever helpful Spirit. You were the best and will be missed so much by everyone at Compass and of course in your family. No one was more loving than you. I didn't have the honor of meeting Harry but say hi to him and my son Tom for me. Love you, Annette

Dear Kimberly amd Kristen, I was so shocked to here about your parents terrible accident.
I meet Doreen at St Cyril and Methodious Church. She would come daily at 6:30 and stay till after the 7:00 Mass. I recognized her from West Lawn Food store. We would chat on the way out of Church. We had something in common, our husbands with us made the pilgrimage to Lourdes for the 150 year anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady to Bernadette. There must be a happy reunion in heaven. Stay close to Our Blessed Lord and Our Blessed Mother as did your Mom.

Dear Kim, Kristen, Amber, Joey, little Frankie and Michael and David, I feel so blessed to have known Doreen. I will miss her laughter (she had a fantastic sense of humor!) I will miss sharing stories about our families...(Her eyes would literally twinkle when she told us a story of one of her grandchildren.) I will miss her compassion, (no matter how bad a day she was having, she never let on and always tried her hardest to make you smile.) I will miss our talks of faith, (Doreen was always saying a prayer or Novena for someone and her faith was so strong I know she could conquer mountains if she needed to.) Most of all I will miss my good friend, and her cheerful hello as I walked into the office every morning, it was always the best part of my day.
You have my deepest sympathy,
JoAnne Lindbloom

Dear Family,
Doreen and Harry were so kind when we lost our dear daughter just four months ago having a mass said in her honor. May God give you some peace during this terrible time. My heart breaks for the loss of your beloved parents.
Sincerely
Scott and Kathryn Dickinson

When you have a small office like we do, you get very close to people. Doreen was such a special woman, and I would wander up front all the time to seek her advice on a problem, to sit and chat with her. She was kind, intelligent, devout, and so very, very funny. She would hear us going on and on in the dispatch area, and all of a sudden pop around the corner with a one liner that would put us on the ground in laughter. I don't know what it's going to be like here...I missed her when she went on vacation.
Thank you, Doreen, for being the amazing person you were, and for touching us all here. You will be forever in my heart.
My thoughts and prayers to the Hoffman Family..to Kim and Kristin and Amber and Joey and Frankie..your Mother always spoke of you with such love and was so proud.

If Doreen was my sister, I'd be proud to call her my sister. She was our co-worker, and I'll always be proud to call her that, and remember her good nature, great working habits, sound moral character, and being at peace with God on a daily basis. We all lost a very good lady.
