I miss you.

You haven´t been forgotten. How can somebody so epic be forgotten? I know people can´t live forever; I just sure wish we could.

Things are hard. But I´m happy, for the most part. Please watch over the boys, especially Tyler, as they find their way.

Hi gram. I wish you could be here right now. Gina could really use you. I'm sure you know, Ken joined you in Heaven this past week. I don't know why he had to leave my sister, but I hope he crossed over peacefully. I hope he can let my sister know he's still with her.
Please watch over Gina and Asher. They are going third a really tough time right now.

14 years you´ve been gone. Some days it feels like an eternity and other days. It feels just like minutes. See I miss you would be an understatement. Everything is so different without you here. Family doesn´t get together like it used to. Nobody sees each other for the holidays, no big family get together`s. I miss those days all crowded in your kitchen, listening to stories of the old days in that amazing language that I´ll probably never hear again. I´m not saying life isn´t good, because it is; it´s just not the same without you.
I miss you so much and I truly hope you are in a better place than all of us are. I hope when my time comes that I really am going to be reunited with you, Uncle Rocco and all our lost loved ones.

I was going through old pictures and came across some from our trip to Italy. It seems like a lifetime ago and I guess it really was. I was so grateful you chose me. I loved walking through the home my father was born in and the churches you prayed in. I often times think about the people, the places, the smells and the food. I never felt more like I belonged than with the people we visited. I hope Zia and you are enjoying your time together in Heaven. How you loved each other and made each other laugh. I loved the sound of your laugh.

I just want you to know I am keeping my promise...you are not forgotten. So many of us miss you and though I know you are happy and finally at peace I know you miss us too.

Please hug Oreo and give him a belly rub for me plus tell him I miss him terribly.

I made a very hard decision on Christmas Day and I'm struggling with it but mostly with the loss of my sweet Oreo. He was the most amazing pup and I was lucky, oh so lucky he was mine for 12yrs.

Remember how he'd walk behind you and lick your ankles then wait outside the bathroom door to walk you back to your chair? He was remarkably sweet that way.


Everyone thinks dogs go to one Heaven and we go to another separated by a bridge then there are others that don't believe animals, not even dogs go to Heaven. I believe Heaven is whatever we wish it to be. For me it's a place where you all are and it's filled with happiness, love and the smell of your gravy cooking.

I told Oreo that Cinder would meet him to show him the way, that you would be waiting with a bowl of spaghetti just for him. So when I close my eyes that's what I see...

It's really been hard here without you, without everyone. I miss you all and the amazing times we had. After you left I had Oreo for comfort but now he's gone, too.

Please take good care of him until I get there. He loves belly and chin rubs, giving kisses, cuddling close, to watch the annual dog show and to eat almost all foods.

I kept his bed in my office in case he wants to nap while I'm working or maybe come lay with me at night because that's when I miss him the most. Please tell him how terribly my heart hurts now that he's gone but that I am so happy he won't be coughing or feeling run down anymore.

I hope Heaven is good to you Nonna and that you know you have not been forgotten just as I promised you would not be. And as long as I am here you never will be forgotten.

It's amazing how even a broken heart continues to beat, how the clock still keeps telling time and how life just keeps moving.

I know you weren't happy here though you loved us all so much, you were ready long before that day.

I remember you asking why God didn't want you and telling you Nonno was making sure everything was just right, that God would send for you when it was time.

I remember holding your hand that night, not wanting to leave your side and whispering it was okay to go, that we would be okay and see you again when you had everything just right for us.

Life keeps moving yet no matter how many days, months or years pass I still carry you with me, I still miss you and I still love you.

I hope Heaven is more than you dreamed it would be and that you someday welcome me to the dinner table with open arms.

Thank you for looking out for us and for helping to bringing Angel into our lives. Our home feels so alive and busy now that it's filled with her laughter. She misses her family but she is doing so amazingly well here. She is so smart, funny and sassy.

I think of you every day and keep your picture next to the bed so I can see you every morning.

Ken and I are about to begin a very big adventure and we are both excited as well as nervous. We are leaving so many that we love especially some very precious little ones yet we are finally putting our future first. I know you understand and would be happy knowing we'll be close to my parents.

Thank you also for all the butterflies, hummingbirds and dragonflies this past summer. They brought so much peace, comfort, and understanding as you knew they would.

I promised to always visit you but my visits won't be as often anymore. I hope you understand and won't feel left behind. In many ways I'm taking you with me every place I go because I keep you safely tucked away in my heart. I won't forget you, not ever and maybe you'll visit me from time to time or send a hummingbird, butterfly, or dragonfly my way to let me know you're well.

As you know it's not a very good week.
I know you and Rocco welcomed Pat with open arms. I am sure you are both very happy he is with you.

I am so sad right now. I miss you. I miss Uncle Rocco. I miss Uncle Lorenzo. And now...now I miss Auntie Pat. It is not fair. She had so much left to do on earth. To care for her mom. To care for her cats. To care for her feral cats. She helped so many people. I only wish we never drifted apart. I can't believe she is gone. My heart is just shattered.

Please, take care of her up there Nonna. I hope she and Uncle Rocco are together now...where they belong. That is the only thing keeping me from going crazy...the faith that they are reunited.
