Thompson, Donald Anthony Age 84, passed away on January 16, 2016 in Prosper, TX. Formerly of Chicago, Palos Park and Lemont, IL. Beloved husband for 50 years of Ida (nee Woods); loving father of Sam (Pat), Robin (Jon) VonGillen, Jeff (Tracie), Greg, Russell and the late Theodore Thompson; dear grandfather of Jordan, Jared Owen, Sean, Jon, Sam and James, also great-grandchildren; cherished son of the late Minnie McAvoy; former husband of the late Virginia (nee Spellman); dear brother of Harold "Pete" (Linda) Thompson, Thomas (Diane) McAvoy, Pat (Linda) McAvoy and the late James McAvoy; fond brother-in-law of Owen "Buck" (Shirlee) Woods, Phyllis (Joseph) Maio, Donna (J.W.) Hubbard, the late Colleen (the late George) Panos and Dennis Woods. Greatly loved by many nieces, nephews and fond friends. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a service at 2:30 p.m. at RICHARD J.
