Don, To know you was to love you. You always had a story to tell. And through the years I kept waiting for you to really retire to enjoy your life outside of your postal "home". Well you will be missed my friend. Now you can tell the angels all of what you "heard".

I'm so glad my dad was able to walk me down the aisle

Dear Uncle Don,
I will never forget how loving and fun you were. You always had a smile on your face. I can remember when we were kids and you would come over to our home and always take us for rides. I can still hear you say,
"It's Uncle Don" and we would come running and be so happy to see you.
Rest in Peace Uncle.
Love, Debbie and Mark xxxx

My Dearest Brother Don,
I will forever miss you. We shared so many happy times together growing up. Even though I was his older sister he taught me how to tell time and tie my own shoes. Don went to Crane Technical High School were he was recognized for one of the outstanding students for Neither Absent nor Tardy,Eight Semesters,Technicron Printing Club;Master Printer;Crane Chronicle, Composition and Make-up and R.O.T.C. Officer. He was so smart. As we got older our lives went separate ways. But one thing is for sure,my love for him never stopped. I will certainly miss wakeing up in the morning on my birthday and going downstairs to check the mail and finding my card inside. He always wanted to make sure I received my card the day of my birthday. It meant so much to me that he cared. I enyoyed when he called me. We could talk on the phone for hours. He would tell me how much he loved his children and how his daughter Donna would take care of him.
To your family, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and prayers.
You will be missed.
Love,
Your Sister Dolores xxxxxxx

Grandpa Don, I love you and will miss you so much. You always made me laugh with your jokes and crazy sense of humor. I just want you to know how proud I am of you. You were the hardest working man I ever knew. I am sad that you are no longer here to tell me I am muy muy bonita lol. I know you are happy to be in heaven with grandma. Your home now and at peace. Thank you for all that you have done.

This is a day I never thought I would see. Don seemed invisible always going even when his legs told him no. I remember him bragging about "his girl" (Donna) that was until Nicole was born then she became "His Girl". Don was the most soft spoken gentle person I ever met, until you left the light on to long :-)He will be missed. Donna my heart is with you even though I can't be. I just wonder what mom was saying when she saw him on his way.

Grandpa was a very "i-n-t-e-l-l-i-g-e-n-t" man. He inspired me greatly, he taught me to work hard and never give up on something you want. He had told a teacher when he was young that he would not miss a day of school , and that teacher didn't believe him. He proved him wrong, never missed school as a child or work as an adult. He would never give up, and for that i am proud. He knew more than anyone i know. I only hope that he is happy. I am very grateful to have spent time with him on his birthday , he loved his birthday. I will truly miss him.

My dad loved working for the Post Office. He always talked about his home as he would call it(work). Myself my husband , and my children were lucky enough to be with him on Sunday 1/09/2011 to celebrate his 75th birthday, although I know he loved to tell many that he was going to be "85". As he has done many times before he did his I hearddddddd that for us and "Supervise Nothing" I want everyone to know he was very happy on Sunday and he even called me when he got to his home (work) that night. He talked with me for over an hour until he had to go.
In my heart I know he is in Heaven now with my Mom, his Mom, and we all miss him Dearly.
He is God's Messenger now.
