Manning, Donald "Ambry" Vet of WWII, ret CFD, 50 year member of Fire Fighters Local #2, beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Ambrose), loving father of Michael (Diane), Patty Manning, Donna Kenny CPD, Jennifer Manning Sgt. CPD, Ruth (John) Wedster Lt. CPD, Monica Crandall and the late Theresa Manning-Ohse CPD, devoted grandfather of Christine (Brian), Ryan, Elizabeth, Kate, Rory (Barb), Annie, Nick, Jackie, Angela, Gina and the late Gina Ohse, fond brother of Margaret Scheuerman, Roseanne Vukso and brother-in-law of Ruth Nowicki. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Guild House, 2413 Canal, Blue Island, Ill., 60406, would be appreciated. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd., to St. Margaret of Scotland Church. I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. I remember Uncle Amby as a sweet man with a great sense of humor.
Heaven is richer for gaining such a generous soul and he is in good company with your Mother, my Dad and the rest of the high spirited Mannings who have left the planet for a better world.
