Don was a fantastic musician, teacher, and band leader. It was always a pleasure to play under his direction early in my career at South Suburban College and in the South Holland Municipal Band.

Karen, I did not hear of the visitation or funeral until too late. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Don was a great musician and a fine human being. He will be greatly missed. I have a lot of great memories of working with him in the symphony and in the big band. I hope to see you playing in the symphony in the fall.
