Dear Hilbring Family,

Everett and I would like to express our deepest condolences on the recent passing of your brother Donald. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Although Donald and our older brother Tyrone were classmates and friends, Everett and I spent time in his company over the years, we did come to realize his kindness and compassion towards those less fortunate than him. We know that Donald was highly respected throughout the community and his profession. He will be truly missed.

Please pass our deepest sympathies on to Donald's children and grandchildren.

Sincerely,
Timothy J. Rand

Billy and family,

My heartfelt condolence go out to you and your entire family. I first met Donald in 1977,he was a new sergeant and I was a brand new police officer. He was a great supervisor and teacher. We became friends and in later years when I was promoted to sergeant, Donald who was a commander by then requested me to be assigned to his district. for this I will be forever grateful Donald has always been and will always be one of my, most favorite people from my Chicago Police days. I will miss in dearly.
Donald, may your soul rest in peace.

Billy and Family

I was fortunate to work with Donald in 022 and with you in 003. He mentored me in his early capacities as a supervisor and ultimately enabled me to navigate many of the complexities of the department before my retirement after thirty-five years.

I share your loss - he will be sorely missed.

Trish, Billy & George III:

Donald did not leave you...he will always remain in your hearts. He was called home to be with your parents, where he was probably missed and needed the most.

Donald has been a pillar in the community, as well as on the police force and the Chicago school system. He was always there where he was needed most. The Hilbrings are a wonderful family and have always meant so much to me, as well as others who love and care for you.

May the Lord continue to bless and guide you in the days to come.

Respectfully,

Tom Faragoi

George III & Family,

Donald was not just a brother, but a friend to you and so many others. He was always kind and thoughtful to my son and I.

You have not lost a loved one, you've only gained another "angel" to love and watch over you. Donald's love will always remain with you.

Donald has been called home to join his loving parents, and he will be truly missed by us all.

May the Lord bless and guide you in your time of sorrow.

I was so saddened when Billy called me. I haven't seen Don in a while, but I have told several people about him in the last few months. I was his insurance man for many years until I was retired. He was one of the most wonderful men that I have ever known. I will never forget how nice he was to me from the very first time that I met him. God bless him and his family who he loved so much.
