I know this is VERY late, but I just wanted the Carlini family to know how sorry we were to hear about Don or 'Veets' (sp?) as my Dad so fondly called him. I know how much my Dad valued he and Don's friendship and especially the bond they had created though SJU. From the few times I was around Don- mainly on the SJU campus, I could see that he had a way of making those around him truely feel important and special. He will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are will you still.

To Anthony, Leah, Mrs. Carlini and all the extended Carlini family, speaking on behalf of the entire Fernandez family, we send our deepest heartfelt condolences on your loss. Previous work commitments prevented me from attending the services and for that I deeply apologize. I feel honored to have known Mr. Carlini through Anthony, Leah, and as my basketball coach at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel grade school. Not only was he an excellent coach, he was an even better role model who epitomized class, respect, and high virtue. One needs to look no further than to Anthony and Leah as testament to this legacy. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

We are shocked to learn of Don's passing and feel saddened for all those closest to him. Like so many have said Don was so warm and friendly, kind and gentle and a very proud father and grandfather. He was also the best insurance agent we will ever know. He will be missed by many for a long time.

Those of us who shared some very memorable days at Mt. Carmel School, remember Donnie's wonderful smile and spirit. As adults, we appreciated his kind heart and that wonderful smile, always. I so wanted to be there this week, but the weather made flying from the New Orleans area too great of a challenge. May the Lord bring His peace to all of the family and friends of Don.

My brother, Ralph, was a friend and classmate of Don's at Fenwick. Their friendship has endured all these years even though Ralph now lives in Phoenix, AZ. Don always was so kind to my Mom, the late Mary Serpico, always taking the time to greet her and make her feel like she was a special part of his life. He was a friend to all the Seniors in Melrose Park. My heart is heavy with the grief that is extended to his entire family.

"To Those I Love & Those Who Love Me" When I am gone, release me, let me go,I have so many things to see & do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess, how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown. But know it's time I travel on alone. So grieve grieve a while for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call & I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, all of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and "Welome Home".
Please accept my deepest sympathy. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.

I met Mr. Carlini through his daughter, Leah, at Eastern. He was a kind and fun dad who was great to have down for a visit at college. I also loved watching Leah and her dad dance so gracefully at her wedding. It was apparent how much he loved his daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I am thinking about you Leah.

I met Don in the 80's when he first became a producer for WIA and have talked to him off and on over the last 20+ years even after I left WIA. Don was the perfect gentleman and from day one always wanted to know everything about the insurance business. He wasn't just a salesmen - he really cared about his customers and doing the right thing for them. He was a wonderful person and we will all miss him. May God be with your family because this is a terrible loss to all of us. My prayers will be for your comfort and for Don's place in Heaven because he surely deserves to be there.

I worked with Don's wife for several years at Ford. I remember Don as a dedicated father and husband who was also very proud of his business. He was always supportive of Barb's career aspirations. It was a pleasure to see Don at Ford "spouse included" events. May he rest in peace and continue to watch over his family.
