Dolores Witowski Obituary

I never knew Dolores but "met" her through a one-time exchange of letters sponsored by Rex Huppke, columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He thought it would be fun for people to "connect" with seniors who might be shut-ins during the Easter holiday a year ago. I received such a charming letter back from Mrs. Witkowski that I hoped we might become pen pals. Unfortunately, I never received anything more from her and was saddened to learn that she had been ill until her recent passing. The testimonials herein tell a story of a dear lady loved my many for her kindness and generosity. My sincere condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. May she forever Rest in Peace.

This is the hardest thing I had to do in my life, Mother the day you left us my heart was broken. Filled with love just for you that loves not gone its kept safe inside but when you left us part of me died. I will always remember the bond we shared and the pain seems like it will never go away .I miss you everyday you were the greatest Mom and Grandma to us all thanks for the love you gave us all. Sweet Dolores,

Thank you for welcoming me into your home and treating me like family. Even though I was just a close friend of Robert´s, there was a picture of me hanging on your wall which made me feel even more at home. You were so warm, friendly and gentle, but also a fierce protector of your own.

I always told Robert what a strong woman you were. I know you had been fighting so many battles to stay here earthside with your loved ones, but now it´s time for you to rest and guard them from above. Your children were blessed with the best mother ever. I pray that you are at peace now, and send my heartfelt condolences to all of your near and dear.

Dolores, thank you for your generosity and kindness that you brought to so many. Thank you for the love and support that you had given me and my family in our time of need. I remember most your warm smile, your empathy. Your caring heart shines though still today from your children. I am thankful that God granted you peace at this time in your journey saving you from illness and suffering. I know that your loving soul will forever embrace Rob as he holds you near and dear to his heart eternally. You are missed dearly.

I keep hearing that I was a great son, but my Mother is the reason I am who I am. My Mother was an angel and now she is an actual angel in heaven. My Mother was selfless and compassionate. I will forever be half until the day she and I are reunited. She was my life and I will live the rest of my life living in her honor. I was born from inside of her and now she lives inside of me for all eternity!! I love you Mom , until we meet again!

Dolores was such an incredibly amazing generous person with the most Kindest heart. Robert and I met in high school And I will never forget How she treated me as if I were her own.
