Mom not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. This year I have a grandbaby. You would have loved him so much. I remember how you spent time with all my boys. How much love you gave them. Thank you for being a great mom and a grandma ever child would love to have.

The start of a New Year always brings remembrances of the year past. In 2010 we lost Aunt Dorie. I have wonderful memories of our annual summer visit to Aunt Dorie and Uncle Bert's house. My siblings and I had a wonderful time with our cousins and Aunt Dorie was always so warm and loving. It was our second home. Aunt Dorie is greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you this holiday season and always.

Auntie Dory & Uncle Bert were always good to us. My sister and I came along later in life when Bert's brother David married my mom Julie. They accepted us as if we were always there. Lots of memories of going over to their house for holidays..and sliding down the stairs. Love you always!

I will be forever grateful having Mom Steffens as my Mother-In law. She taught me about her endless patience and unconditional love. She always put her family first. I will treasure our times together. Talking, laughing and enjoying our corn beef sandwiches and Dairy Queen visits. Watching Combat or Gunsmoke on television. I know you will continue to watch over all of us. We miss and love you very much!

I loved you Aunt Dorie. I have many great memories of vacations we spent at your house. Playing with the dogs Boots and Shing. You will be missed.

My mother was my hero. She was a strong, loving, compassionate, helpful, nurtutring lady. She lived her entire life working hard to be a successful wife, mother and grandmother. She acheived all three. While Parkinson's can be a debilitating disease she fought it vallantly. For 25 years she struggled with falls, speech, gait, and hygiene issues. The crafts that she so loved to do had to be set aside as the twitching was too much to overcome. She spent her last years being cared for and smiled until the end. The memories I shared with her and her spirit will live in in my soul until the time that I see her again. She is now my guardian angel and she will never be forgotten.
