I still miss Dolores sitting in her "assigned" place at the 8:15 Mass, and at all the funeral Masses at OLL.

When I saw the story online in the Sun Times about a mother of 15 from Hometown I knew it had to be your mom. I used to work with all of you at "The Pantry" at Christ Hospital in the early 80's. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember thinking how cool it was that you all had such a big family! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My sincere sympathies to all of the Penders and their extended families. Growing up in Hometown, if you didn't know a Pender, you had to be new to the area - - - Mr. and Mrs. Pender were icons there in all of the best ways.
Mrs. Pender was a great comfort during the time when both of my parents passed away. Saying the right thing and doing the right thing ~ which included delivering pizzas to us at the funeral home!
I'm sure they are all up in heaven looking down over all of their offspring with big, proud smiles on their faces.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, I grew up in hometown and know of the Pender family who did`nt who live in Homtown, your mother is in heaven getting the well deserved rest from raising such wonderful loving children, she will be missed but we all who have lost loved ones have memories that will keep us from feeling sad not having them here with us so in closing I am so very sorry about the passing of a great women

My deepest sympathies to you on the passing of a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

I had the pleasure of volunteering with Dolores at Christ Hospital. She was so proud of her family, and told me many stories about all of you. I also remember seeing her with your Dad at Veli's Kofy Kup in Oak Lawn. It seems like everyone ate at Veli's at one time or another.

I can picture Dolores up in heaven smiling and saying "I am SO proud of my kids". What a wonderfully loving family you are.

Dolores touched so many lives, and the number of people who attended her wake was a testament to that fact.

May all of the wonderful memories that you have of her help you during these difficult days.

I didn't know Delores very well. I did know that if I wanted to know what was happening (or supposed to be) at OLL, she would know. Kind of like a guardian angel. I had a great deal of respect for her and the things that she did for the parish. To Matt and Tom, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find solace knowing she is in God's loving arms.
