I am very sorry to hear of David's death. I knew him when attending church at the Creech Avenue Church of Christ. I also remember him playing football at Cumberland High. Even though he was small for a football lineman he played with a lot of heart and strength. He played center and I will always remember him going against a boy from Paintsville that was about 6-6 and I'm sure weighed over 250 pounds. Even though David was much smaller he knocked him off his feet all night long. That showed the type of courage and character he had. My prayers go to all his family and loved ones.
