Diane Damerjian Obituary

Damerjian, Diane It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Damerjian (nee Kramer), 67, mother of Lisa Van Der Bleek, Laura Damerjian, and Marc Damerjian, dear mother-in-law of John Van Der Bleek, John Bersch, and Jennifer Damerjian and loving Granny of Emily, Jacob, and Ethan Van Der Bleek, Rebecca, Anna, and Nathan (Max) Bersch, and Avery Damerjian. Visitation Monday, April 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights (Please Use Randhill Park Cemetery Entrance). Chapel Service Tuesday, April 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home. The family will be receiving calls of condolences at the Van Der Bleek residence following the service on Tuesday. Interment Randhill Park Cemetery. Diane enjoyed sharing her passion for bridge, both competitively and socially. Well known for her interests in politics, current events, and reading, she thrived on people and building relationships. Nary could a soul pass her by without her engaging them in conversation and brightening their day. Her proudest accomplishment was her family, teaching, nurturing, and supporting them to no end. We will miss her kind, gentle soul. She dearly missed her husband of 40 years, Armen, who passed away in 2004. After six years, they are together again. Donations may be made in Diane's honor to Beth Tikvah Congregation, Attn: Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, and sent to Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Boulevard, Hoffman Estates, 60169. All donations will be set aside and held to help sponsor a Judaic, educational, or musical program in the future. For funeral information, 847-255-3520.

Dear Lisa, Laura, and Marc,
We recently found out about your mother's passing and are truly sorry for your loss. She was a very special lady and will be missed.
Milt and I lived in Illinois from about 1989 to 1998. We met Diane at a duplicate bridge table and your dad through her. In addition to being a lot of fun, they were dear friends who always made us feel special, like family. We will never forget their caring and kindness.
You have been blessed with a loving upbringing and the wonderful guidance provided by these two dynamic and righteous people. The world was made a better place by their presence, and now they have passed the torch onto you, their percious children.
May warm memories comfort you.
Love,
Milt and Rena

Hi Marc,
Very sorry to hear about your mother passing. Your parents were great people. Although we have been out of touch since high school, the great memories of your family will always be with me. Your mom cracked me up every time I talked to her. She always had such a positive attitude and love for life.

My condolences,
Will vanBeetz

We were so saddened to learn of your mother's passing. Both of your parents were such wonderful neighbors on Ashley. They were especially kind and helpful to mom after dad passed.

Dear Lisa, Laura and Marc, we are so saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. Her personality was larger than life, her love for her family boundless and her pride in all of your accomplishments without end. We will treasure the memories of times spent with her and your Dad, going to soccer games, visiting "Canton Chef" and of course, playing bridge.
She will never be forgotten.
With love, Harry and Barbara van Beetz

Marc, I was so sorry to find out your mother had passed away. As much as you will miss her, it must be some comfort that she's with your father. I remember how much you not only loved, but admired your parents.

So sorry to hear of Diane's passing. Your mother was a very kind woman, always something nice to say. My husband and I remember her fondly from many extended family gatherings with the cousins we hold in common, Elizabeth Zurawski, Genevieve Caldwell and Suzanne Damerjian. You are in our prayers.
