Kipp, Derril H. Age 71, of Palatine, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, July 05, 2016. Beloved husband of Marianne Kipp (nee Chapman) for 47 fun and beautiful years; loving father of Tabitha (Tim) King, Dorian (Mike) Kelly, Lindsay (Patrick) Lytle; cherished grandfather of adorable grandchildren, Grace and Cameron King, Emersyn and Conor Kelly, Nathan, Nolan, and Carter Lytle; fond brother of Nodie (Alice) Kipp; dear uncle of Kerri (Tim) Slifka, Elizabeth (Steve) Campbell, and Jeffrey (Kate) Kipp; preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Daisy Kipp. Derril enjoyed teaching his students to drive. He believed it was an important life skill. His passion in life was to build a program to develop and promote young women through girls basketball to become successful not only in sports but in life. His family invites you to celebrate his life at Maine West High School, 1755 South Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018, his second home.
