David Tuttle Obituary

Tuttle, David Lee 76, of Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 18, 2016. David was born October 19, 1940 to Robert and Anna Tuttle in Sandwich, IL. He graduated from Aurora East High School in 1958. David proudly served as a rifleman in the First Cavalry Division, "Blue Lancers", United States Army in Korea, being honorably discharged from service in 1964. He was a Union Carpenter for 40 years, retiring from AT&T/Lucent, Naperville, IL in 2002. He took great pride in his Union membership and served as a political leader enjoying many trips to Washington D.C. to meet with Federal Legislators. David was a long time baseball Coach in the Aurora Boys Baseball and Pony Leagues where he mentored and helped develop many fine young men. He took annual trips to Jamaica where he made lifelong friends from throughout the country. He moved to Wisconsin after retirement and enjoyed many years of golfing, fishing and his care of bluebirds. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Robert, Jr., Michael and Gary; and sister, Patsy. He is survived by his daughter, Tia (Jeff) Dumdie of Aurora, IL; sons, David 'Tony' Tuttle of Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin and Tim (Carole) Tuttle of Aurora, IL; granddaughter, Stephanie Johnson of Cortland, IL; grandsons, Thomas Dumdie of Aurora, IL, Trevor Tuttle of Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin, Anthony (Michelle) Fischer of San Diego, California, Andrew (Samantha Solis) Fischer of San Diego, California and Chris Bauer of Little Canada, Minnesota; great-grandson, Trenton Norris of Cortland, IL; great-granddaughters, Trinity, Divinity, Serenity, and Addison of San Diego, California; nephew, Michael Tuttle of Ottawa, IL and many aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his loving and caring friend, Willanetta (Willie) Kittel of Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Tiger Athletic Club, 1040 6th Ave., Aurora, IL, from 1p.m.-2:30p.m. Private Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich, IL.
