Smith, Dr. David W.E. 71, physician, scientist, and educator at Yale, NIH, and Indiana University Medical School; retired professor in the Department of Pathology and the Buehler Center on Aging at Northwestern University; community garden activist and award recipient; accomplished cellist; Died September 12, 2005, beloved husband of 45 years of Diane; dear brother of Carol Nance and brother-in-law of Carole Walker; cherished uncle of Dana Mackenzie, Martha Truisheim-Nance, Susannah Khayat, and Sarah Baker. The celebration of his life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2005 in his home at, 1212 North Lake Shore Drive in the Community Room. All I could say about Dr David W.E. Smith is that he was a wonderfull man,to work for,someone whom I respected and admired.His memory will live on always and be cherished.My deapest to Mrs Diane Smith Whom knows i love very much.
