Patty and Family. I just became aware of Dave's passing and I am deeply saddened by your loss. The entire Chicagoland area has lost a great and true friend of everyone. I nursed David and Penny in Malaga when he was only a baby and Mr and Mrs Simpsons were so young. They were extremely kind, and I can only remember happy times with them.
I have kept David and Penny in my heart throwout all these years even at such a long distance. I was so fortunate to see them again after more than 40 years and see that he was still as sweet as a he was as a child. Patty, I had also the pleasure to know you, such a matching partner and his lovely doughters.

Patty, Lana and I are so very grief-stricken to think of what you and Dave have gone through this past year, and thinking of you and the kids without Dave right now. As you reach out for comfort, you can be assured that the world is a better place because of Dave. He left an imprint of kindness, friendship, and high character that has left a lasting impact on the thousands of people who knew him. This is true among only a very select class of people, especially among those who leave us at such a young age.

I think of Dave often, particularly when I encounter sticky ethical situations in business. Dave was so classy, he serves as a role model for others to follow. You're a classy person too, Patty. Hello from another Joseph Sears Elementary School friend from Kenilworth. Dave was funny and warm. It was great to be at a party at your home when we had our reunion and to feel right at home with his great smile, voice and warm heart. I'm so sorry to hear of Dave's passing, I knew him from Sears school, and summer camp when we were children. He was always a very happy , very bright person. I will miss him, but I won't ever forget him.

I went to Joseph Sears with David. I recall with fondness his playful sense of humor and his award-winning smile. Those of us who went to New Trier really missed seeing that smile on an everyday basis. He made people happy! Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

I am really sorry to hear the sad news. Dave was a great guy personally and professionally and I am going to miss talking with him and going to ball games with him in the summer at Wrigley Field. I recall a conversation with him over dinner in Evanston after we moved to Chicago and he was so content and happy with you, the two girls at time, and life in general. He always had a positive outlook on life and on things in general, even in times of uncertainty. That was evident in the way he fought and battled his health issues over the past eighteen months. Dave was a great warrior and will be deeply missed by all of the people he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Marilyn, Samantha, and Rachel.

I can't tell you how sorry I am. Even though I did not get to spend a lot of time with Dave one-on-one, I can tell you that I always enjoyed talking with him on the phone and the few one-on-one visits we had were memorable. He lived life with a passion and a purpose, and it was clear he cherished you and the girls. I count it a privilege to have known him professionally and personally, and am truly sorry for your loss.
