Kaplan, David A. age 96, beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Trout), loving father of Linda (Nicholas) Scott and the late Richard "Kappy" Kaplan, adored grandfather of Anthony, David (Amy), Jill and Jennifer Scott, proud great-grandfather of Katherine and Phillip Scott, dear brother of the late Ida Schwartz, Ann Schutz and Gertrude Caplin. Mr. Kaplan was a 1929 graduate of New Trier High School, founder and president of David Kaplan and Co., Inc. and a founding member of The Niles Township Jewish Congregation. Service Monday, 2 p.m., at Ezra Habonim-The Niles Township Jewish Congregation, 4500 W. Dempster St., Skokie. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Kaplan's memory, may be made to Ezra Habonim-The Niles Township Congregation.
