Today a new baby is being born to David's brother William and wife Loren. The baby's name will be
" Luke David Cecil ". David would be so excited and proud that this new child will share his name. This book will be a really cool way for him to meet his Uncle when he is older. He will know what a sweet gentle loving man David was.

I never had the pleasure to get to know David Cecil. That I am truly sorry for. I have heard of so many wonderful things about him from everyone who knew him and the lives he touched. I know he is in the Lords house.
But it is Cheri who I truly admire. For someone so young and courageous to get up every morning and go on. To be a loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to all. For this I am inspired to do the same, to get up and go on. I feel it is her faith in the Lord and the love for a beautiful son that David left for her to raise.
I love you Cheri, you are an inspiration to us all.

I still feel so deeply for your loss. David was a great person and a good friend. I know he was a wonderfull dad and i want Johnathon to know that also. He was allways so proud of everthing in his life.
I miss the fun times and phone calls that we all shared. Take life one day at a time and don't take anything or anyone for granted. It's too short.

David's Grandfather, PaPa, still carries this photo of David in his wallet. David was 11 years old in this 1978 photo.

John comes to the computer saying, "Daddy, Daddy Daddy?"
So, we show this page we have created to honor David's life. John's favorite photo is the one of his daddy & himself on the lawn mower.

Our prayers have been and will continue to be with you, Cheri, Johnathan and the rest of your famly. Although we had never met David, it seems like we have gotten to know him through the pictures and other guest book entries. Johnathan looks so much like his Daddy. We pray that you will find healing, comfort and rest in the Lord's loving arms.
We love you, Rat, Sue, Meghan and Danny

I miss David very much! We loved to sing (kararoke) "summer nights" from the movie grease. David had a passion for singing espically to his wife - Cheri would soak up every minute of it. We had lots of Kararoke parties - David and Cheri even had their own books to make your selection from titled "Neon Sun Kararoke". David loved listening to everyone sing and he always ran the sound system for each party. David was always willing to load up the equipment and come to my home or my partents a last minute parties. I have quit a few tapes Video recorded of David singing and let me tell you, he could put on a good show! I sang at David's funeral (one of his favorite songs)and I felt like he was right there encouraging me and telling me that I was doing fine. David we all miss you and Love you!!

David was a special friend and did he ever like to talk. He had a special smile that was warm to your heart if you were in blah mood. He was a person who would send smiles to others by making us all jealous with sending beautiful roses often to his wife. He was always bragging on Cheri without her being anywhere near to hear how much he loved her. I will miss our singing parties and just the way he made you feel you were always welcome to his home. Jonathan shares his Dad's good looks which Cheri will always have a piece of David to hold. My heart hurts very much for the worldly side but my inner heart knows that heaven has another soldier to get everything done in time for us all to see our families again. I know that in my heart my Dad was there to welcome David and they could sing together. I am thankful to have gotten to know him and miss him very much.

Thanks to all who have signed this guest book & to those who sent us cards and email. It is greatly appreciated. We miss David so much. We just don't realize how really special someone is until they are suddenly gone from our lives. Johnathan misses his Daddy so much. He tells us everytime something reminds him of Daddy. He is so incredibly smart. I hope others will be encouraged to hug their babies daily. It really has made a difference in our lives.

Dave was such a positive person. He made sure to make you feel special when you spoke to him. I always enjoyed seeing him interact with Johnathan, you could see the love. It was a very special thing. Likewise, he adored Cheri and was so proud to be her husband.
I used to just relish watching David sing and could see how much fun he was having. David loved his family and life itself. I wrote a song dedicated to the memory of him which trys to imagine what heaven is like.
"Eternally with You"
You show me every day a little more and more each time I pray.
I love to talk to you and tell you all about the crazy things I do.
And when I sing, I praise You.
And when I dream...I'm in heaven with You.
I just can't wait to spend eternity, with you.
Eternally with You.
Sometimes life is hard, I get down on myself, I get down on You.
But I know Lord, You're in controll, you never let me down when my eyes are on you.
And when I sing, I praise You.
And when I dream...I'm in heaven with You.
I just can't wait to spend eternity with You.
Eternally with you...
I'll fly away oh Lordy, I'll fly away...I'll fly away, I'll fly away.
Shake, shake, shake...
I wonder what heaven's like?
Don't you wonder what heaven's like?
Steets of gold, pearly white gates you know!
People walking around with gold crowns!
I want to hear Jesus say to me...
Don't you want to hear Jesus say to you?
Well done my good son.
Well done my good and faithful son.
Well done my good and faithful servant, well done!
Eternity with you...
I'll be eternally with you...
I'll fly away oh Lordy I'll fly away.. Shake, shake, shake...
Eternity with You.
Dave, I'll see you in heaven and then we can sing this song together and laugh about the crazy things we did while we were here.
Love,
Dean and Heather Freeze
