Danny O'Donnell – beloved soul mate of Josie; devoted son of Peggy (nee Keeley) and the late Patrick; dear brother of Michael "Bobo," Kathleen (Mike) Micek, Patrick (Kim), John (Jolanta) and Mary Margaret (Joseph) Knuerr; fond uncle of Timothy, Sean, Erin, Chloe, Luke, Matthew, Zachary and Robert; 39 years with the Chicago Fire Alarm Office. Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge. Funeral Friday, family and friends to meet at St. John Brebeuf Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Maryhill. I knew Dan through Uncle Pete's. He was always in a good, helpful mood, with a great sense of humor. He was a man's man -- a model of a giving, helpful, and a person we always enjoyed his guiding, helping, and just being around. We at Uncle Pete's will miss him -- like so many others.

I only knew Danny for a short time, but had a sense of his dedication and love for all the work Uncle Pete´s ministry does. He will be missed. My thought and prayers are with his family.

Have only gotten to know Danny over the last few years working for Uncle Pete´s Mission at St John Brebeuf Church. I always enjoyed my interaction with him full of humor, Chicago Catholic school nostalgia (always funny), and a willingness to help out even when it was not his responsibility. I will miss not seeing him when I am there.
To Danny´s family and close friends please accept my condolences. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
