Wangler Sr., Daniel R. age 88, Air Force Veteran of WWII, member of Dominican 3rd Order; beloved husband of Winnie Lee (nee farmer) for over 62 years; loving father of Elizabeth Ann, Daniel R. Jr. (Jane), Katy (Al) Schroeder, Michael (Amy), Patrick, Joseph (Sharon), William (Linda), Mary, Dolly (Christopher) Cipolla, Trez and the late Timothy John; proud grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of seven; dear brother of Anne Doersam and the late Jack (Catherine) Wangler. Visitation Sunday, 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst and Monday, 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Home, 80 West Northwest Highway, Palatine. Interment All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph's Home, Palatine.
