Daniel Lucas Obituary

Hey Danny, I missed writing to you on your anniversary day, but I haven't stopped missing you! I wrote you last year, but for some reason it was never posted. You didn't miss anything with the Sox this year, they set a record for the most losses in a single season. Henry stayed faithful up to the last home game, tailgated and had fun though. Of course, he still bought his tickets for next season too! Craig and his wife Kristine had a baby girl last November so we have been keeping busy with our little Charlotte. You would love her! She is a little comedian, she actually cracks herself up, which cracks us up! Oh how I miss you, 19 years and the loss still hurts the same.

Fall is here again, thinking of and missing you, Dan.

Happy birthday Dan, really missed you tonight, a bunch of us are finally retiring. Wish you could've been there to celebrate with us.

Well Danny, another year has passed without you and it still sucks. It's crazy after all this time you would think thoughts of you would fade, but they haven't and I don't think they ever will. Somehow there is always something that reminds me of you. Your buddy Henry retired this year, he sure would have loved to have you down here to go golfing and Sox games with him. We really miss you my friend!

We still miss you like crazy and I constantly wonder what you would be up to if you were still here with us. You have two more of your siblings with you up there, just within this past year. I really hope you are all having a big ole party, Lucas style. Love you Uncle Dan!

It's a rainy day in Chi-town Dan, made all the drearier because we're still missing you.....

Happy belated birthday Dan. If you and Harry are together, tell him we are sad that both of our "big dogs" are no longer with us. Miss you.

Well Dan, the Sox messed up, they lost in the first round of the playoffs. Apparently for Halloween they wanted to be the Cubs, haha. Still miss you "Dan the Man".

Wish you were here to meet my new granddaughter Zoe. Now I have two, Layla is 19 months old. I wish they had met their Uncle Danny. I shed tears every year missing you. Love you.

Feelin pretty sad, have had a lot of loss in my family the last 6 months. Makes me think about my friends that are gone too and how much I miss all of you. I can't believe you and Laura are up there together, half of our bowling team.....that is totally ridiculous! It's been about 34 years since we went out drinking that Friday night, and we all went to work for Saturday overtime and I'm pretty sure we were all probably still legally drunk. You had your shirt on inside out and were messing around copying your face and we were all laughing so hard. OMG! Those were the days! I frickin wish you were still here you big goof!

a friend came by my house and brought a bottle of jameson, he said "bet you never drank this before" I let out a tear and we had a long conversation. Dan's precense was ever felt. What an influential guy he was. I miss him.

Hi Dan, It has been one year and it seems like yesterday. It is still very sad but one good thing is that you have left us with so many funny memories.
Your telephone voice was great. Crashing through the wall by the mailroom doing your Gene Kelly dance. Oops
I just heard that you were the one who would take bites out of the entree on sample plate that was on display outside of the cafeteria. I am just cracking up thinking about you doing that.
Everytime I make my famous breakfast casserole, I think of you and I and the serious discussion about the importance of using the correct cheese and eggs and sausage. Do not substitute. That was so funny
You were a one and only and I will never forget you. I am sure that heaven is laughing alot more now that you are there entertaining everyone. We had alot of laughs outside smoking and at happy hours. Hopefully we will meet again one day.

I remember everytime I entered the computer room you would say good morning Mrs. O'Driscoll saying it just like you were greeting a school teacher with your lower voice. I sure miss those greetings.



I think of you so often, and every thought I send brings all the warm good wishes a friend could wish a friend.

I listen to your voice almost every day, you left your last message on my voice mail and I cannot delete it. It is a comfort to hear you voice.



I'm hoping somehow you will know my thoughts are there with you. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, wondering how you're doing and hoping that your at peace. My mom just passed I know my mom has cross you path and the two of you are having a wonderful life in heaven.
