Dear Dad,

I just want you to know that Mom is ok. She truely misses you so very much. All she says to me is I just wish I could hold his hand one more time. I told her that you are with her every day. I took her to Galena on Sept. 8th what would have been your 60th anniversary. I didn't want her to be home alone on what was one of the hardest days of many that she would have to face this year. We left on Thursday morning early and returned on Friday evening. We had a very nice time. Mom over did it and I had to take her to the ER on the way home because her knee was in so much pain. They said she would be ok in a few days. She just needs to ice it, and rest if for a while. We are already talking about another day trip. Dad I am keeping my last promise to you. I promised you I would take care of Mom and I intend to keep my promise. She is going to be ok, and I will help her get through all and any hard days she will go through. I love you and miss you so very much. Take care of yourself and give David and Danny a big hug from me and tell them I miss them very much. Will talk to you again soon.

Dear Danny and David,

It was a very full cemetery today. When I came out to put two flags at your headstone I had to park a little bit away. Normally I park right next to you and can just get out and I'm right there. I just had to walk a few extra feet. I cleaned off your headstone and wiped it down with baby wipes,took off the dead grass, and then put a flag there for each of you. Mom is going to have a flag pole put up in front of her house and that will be Dad's flag. I will be out later this week to put out a planter with flowers. I have to do some research and see what type of flowers don't take so much care and can last in the sun without water for a few days at a time. I am going out by Mom tomorrow and will be taking her to the doctor on Wednesday so she can get her knee checked. Please be her guardian angel and make it so she doesn't have to have another surgery. Maybe they can fix it with physical therapy.Will talk to you soon after I bring your flowers. Take care of Dad and please let him know Mom is ok.

Happy Belated Christmas and an early happy New Year. Mom and Dad are now living back in Chicago on the same block as Mary. Uncle Richard and Aunt Connie bought them a house so they could live here. Mom is just getting over being sick and Dad is not well. He is filled up with liquids and his heart is only working 40%. I will be taking him for blood work in a couple weeks to see how his kidneys are working. Keep him and mom in your prayers and help them both to get better for the new year.
