Groth Sr., Daniel R. retired C.P.D., beloved husband of Renate (nee Lochow), loving father of Debra A. (Thomas) Conwell, Patricia J. Pryor, and Daniel Jr. (Kathaleen) Groth, beloved son of the late John and Elsie Przanowski, dear grandfather of Sabrina, Jennifer, Jessica, Carolanne, Courtney, and Sam, great-grandfather of Jared, and Jackson, dear brother of Neal (the late Johanna), and the late John, Calvin (Joan), and Terry (Linda) Groth, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home, 544 W. 31st St. to St. Jerome Croatian Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Member of Club Sinj and American Legion of Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, Florida 34105, will be deeply appreciated. Visitation Monday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. 312-225-8500

I am terribly saddened at the death of my friend Danny Groth. Dan was a dear friend for 35 years who had my utmost respect. He was a Sgt.of mine as a young policeman in the 18th District. He took me under his protective wing. Dan was a man of courage and integrity and was very instrumental in my life. He never forgot his friends. I shall never forget him.
