I knew little of Daniel; I only knew him personally through the cognitive alteration we shared, that others call a disorder. I never knew him, but I love him much more than I can love the peers who will never understand what we experience. He will remain with me as long as I live with this alteration.

Therese, I just heard about this from Nancy. My son is the same age and I can't imagine what you must be going through. There are no words sufficient. May your memories of him bring you comfort.

Danny and I were football/Poms brother and sis at Niles West one year and I remember him as the sweetest person there could be. I still have his thank-you letter for decorationg his locker for homecoming and the stuffed animal he gave me. The world has lost a truly special person. Danny will be very much missed. He and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Therese and Larry,
We are very sorry to hear about Danny's death. You both coached our sons Matt and Christopher years ago in soccer. Matt remembers playing with Danny. He said he was a great guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo and Joe Uhrik
