I am very sorry for your loss, in reading about your dad- it sounds like he was an extraordinary person and a great father and husband. I am sure that you and your siblings (who I was honored to meet) always made him very proud. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Condolences to the Mitchell family. Dale was a wonderful man who touched the lives of many. When you encountered him he always put a smile on your face. I will always remember an incident way back in the day, when my sister and I were babysitting for friends of Dale's while they went out for the evening. When they returned, I was sleeping and my sister was gone. They woke me up to ask where she was and I had no idea where she had gone. Dale was the first one to jump into his truck and go searching for her. After searching for two hours, we finally had to go tell my parents she was missing. Just as we walked in the front door, my great aunt called and said my sister showed up at her house in her pj's. She told my aunt that she was staying down the street at a friends house and did'nt want to stay any longer. Turns out she was sleepwalking! God knows where she could have ended up! Dale was right there to help! He will be remembered and truly missed by many. He is now making everyone smile in heaven. Rest in peace Dale.

Irene,Char, Stevie, Dj, Bobby, and Melanie..Words can not express how sorry i am about the loss of a wonderful man. Dale never failed to put a smile on my face everytime i seen him.Always telling some kind of story about softball, back on 48th or about one of his kids.He truely was an amazing man of MANY words. The mitchelles have always been one of my favorite familys growing up and that will never change.Seeing you guys playing softball at the park last night couldnt have made me happier.Although everytime i talked to dale about softball he told me melanie wasnt the best at it,but thats besides the point. Dale is someone i will never forget..and im sure theres millions of people that wont either!<3

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. May these memories help you cope during this time. My thoughts and prayers are with The Mitchell family & friends.
