Courtney was one of the kindest people. She was always upbeat, happy and could tell a great story. She was full of knowledge, especially about DisneyWorld...my family visited there recently and I tried to remember all the things she had told us to do (and not to do) when we were there. She was definitely the expert, and her advice was right on! I will miss her beautiful smile, graceful style and infectious laugh. Be well in heaven my friend.

Howard and family. I have been lucky enough to have known Courtney professionally and personally for 20 years. She always had a sincere smile on her face and had a sparkling personality. Courtney was so bright, a very caring sole, and incredibly brave! Let's do celebrate Courtney's life and how much she touched so many people. My heart goes out to Howard and the girls.

I extend my deepest sympathies to Courtney's family. I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney through the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing and she served on the Board of Directors during my tenure as President. She was the ultimate class act, a true professional and a warm and caring woman. She will be missed.

I am so sad to learn of Courtney's passing. I know Courtney from Citibank and she helped me get comfortable with raising my family in the city and navigating the school systems as our children reached school age. I so enjoyed running into her and the girls at the symphony. She was always so energetic with the perfect scarf to match the occasion. I will always remember her infectious laugh. She will be missed and live on in the memories of all who had the honor of knowing her. My deepest sympathies to Howard and the girls.

Howard and family,
I am so very sorry to learn of Courtney's passing. The Courtney I will always remember was quick to smile and laugh. She truly loved life and her family. While I haven't been able to see her in the last few years, she will still be very much missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May your memories of Courtney bring you peace and strength now and always. .

I was so deeply saddened to learn about Courtney. For many years, we stood side-by-side at the barre at Ruth Page School of Dance. We last danced together in September and she was so bright-eyed and positive. I always loved standing next to her because when we flubbed-up, we would laugh and roll our eyes. "Don't watch me," she would say...But I always did because she was so smart and had a better memory -- we never gave up trying to get it right. We never took ourselves too seriously.I remember when she was expecting her daughters...I also have a 14-year-old. We would eventually work together when she was at the Sun-Times and I was at WTTW11. She was always so sweet and poised. (And her grooming and nails were impeccable -- I always loved her orangey-red polish!) My thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful family, who I knew she adored. She will live forever in the hearts of her daughters and all who knew her...
