Dear Father,
Today's feast day, being your namesake, we are called to remember the life of sacrifice which was so readily exemplified in your daily living. With this in mind, we pray; O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You.

Father Militello always used to say: "A Saint is only a sinner who keeps trying." By that definition, Father Cosmo was most certainly a saint. He ALWAYS kept trying. I can remember his sincere concern for all his parishioners. The kindness he gave in the nursing home to my friend's grandmother, Mrs. Zito, was wonderful and deeply appreciated.
During a crazy age, he kept his head and never lost his faith, never became just a jobholder, never an ecclesiastical politician. Just a priest who loved Jesus Christ and loved his parishioners in Jesus Christ. Thank you, Father Cosmo, and may God love you forever!

Rest in Peace Father Militello. I will never forget all that I learned from you while attending Sacred Heart. I will never forget what you would tell us "you can take the kid out of sacred heart but you cant take sacred heart out of the kid" That has been true with me I enjoyed my years at Sacred Heart and will send my children to a private catholic school as well...be with god father

Dear Militello Family and The Sacred Heart Family,
My condolences and prayers to all.
Father Cos was a wonderful man and spirit, always taking care of us children even through adulthood—we were all his boys and girls—and he took care of us no matter what life brought us.
And, I thank him for taking care of my Mom and Dad, Pat & Pete Clarke, when they passed away 20+ years ago. He was always there for us.
God Bless his soul!

Father Militello has always held a special place in our hearts. He was our "fun priest" from our Teen Club years at Sacred Heart Parish, and then he was the "awesome priest" who officiated at our wedding and danced with the bride, and then the "wonderful priest" who babtized both of our children and blessed our first home, and did funeral services for our family members. Life brought our family to California in 1987, but we never forgot the priest who was with us in the early years. Our sympathy to the family of Father Militello and our prayers for Father.
Love, Cherrie and Bob

Rest in peace Dearest Fr Militello. I have very fond memories growing up and listening to you at church and your very touching sermons and homilies. All the things you said always had a very strong impact on me and my beliefs. Always beginning with "My dear boys and girls".Also, the beautiful funeral service that you did for my Dad, Jack Nardella just 10 years ago. May you rest in peace and be with our Father in heaven for all eternity. My prayers and sincere condolences to all of your family.

Fr. Cos as we remember him.
