Con was a good friend for nearly 50 years - since our days together at Northwestern University School of Law. I admired him for his wisdom and for his sense of humor. I have only recently learned of his passing, which accounts for my delay in noting, here, my respects. R.I.P.

My deepest sympathy to all of his family, I will keep you in my prayers. Especially you Tia, you and your family did everything you could for him. I had the privilege of spending a couple of days with Cornelius at Tia's home. We spent an entire afternoon on the deck, he didn't want to go inside, even for a nap. The sun was shining and there was a gentle breeze. He commented several times during our conversations on what a "Glorious" day it was, a phrase I use myself. It truly was a "Glorious" day spent with a special man. I was honored to receive a copy of "The Ring Bear" for my twin Grandbabies, I will tell them about Cornelius when they are old enough. Thank you again. I feel Cornelius and his family have left footprints on my heart. I am grateful to have known you for a short time. God Bless.....

In appreciation of a good neighbor, a citizen who participated in concerns of his neighborhood and took appropriate action when his expertise was useful, a family man whose children were a priority. There are so few Crescent Drive "old timers" still with us. Con will be missed.
