Consuelo Sroubek Obituary

Sroubek, Consuelo 77, of North Riverside, beloved wife of the late Otakar, loving mother of Otakar and Karel (Ann) Sroubek, proud grandmother of Amanda, Justin, Lauren, Nicole and Brendan, dearest sister of Amparo, Luz, and Jenny. Consuelo was a trained Soprano in Classical Opera. She taught voice and piano and appeared on The Artist Showcase on WGN in the 1960's. Visitation Thursday, June 11, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Road, Forest Park. Family and friends will meet at Mater Christi Catholic Church, 2431 S. 10th Ave. North Riverside, on Friday, for a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Info: 708-442-8500

I am very sorry for your loss. Consuelo gave me voice lessons some years back, and I can still hear her encouraging voice-She would always say,"It's coming along". She was a wonderful teacher and listener.
