Dear Family of Colleen,
I have no words for how sorry I am that you lost your beloved Colleen. I was her hairdresser for many years. I loved her dearly and miss her. Every time I saw her name in my schedule I couldn't wait to talk to her and catch up. We would chat the entire time, my next clients always waited because I didn't want to say goodbye to her! I loved her stories and her intelligence. We shared a passion for history and loved talking about many different topics. I looked up to her and learned so much from her.
I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Colleen was an incredible knitter who shared her talent with many. The charity knitting group that she started at the Morton Grove Library made so many adults and children warm in the winter. She was also a librarian, an historian and a fighter. I am sorry that she lost her battle, but am sure that she is discussing history with her relatives.

Dear Family of Colleen,
I send my Deepest Sympathies and Prayers for Collen and for all of you at this time. I have known Collen from 1983 while working at Sheridan Road Hospital and then at Rush North Shore Medical Center. We shared many talks and I have great memories. I used to pick her up on my way to Rush NS when she lived in skokie. We both survied a car accident when leaving work one day. She told me I talked all the way to the hospital in the ambulance. Her keen sense of joy, laughter, sincerity and over all personality is a loss to the world. I will remember her fondly for all she went through recently. God Bless you all.
A dear friend,
Tony Disalvio
