Clarice Wells Obituary

Wells, Clarice C. Age 88, born May 16, 1926, died peacefully at home in Monee, IL on March 1, 2015. Her loving caretaker and dear friend of the Wells family, Elizabeth Nuzah was by her side. Beloved wife of Ralph for 68 years; loving and devoted mother to Nancy Gard of Munster and Brian (Mary) Wells of Aurora; proud and spoiling grandma to Robin (Chuck) Ramirez and Alexander, Eric and Grace Wells; great-grandma to Carson and Ryan Ramirez; as well as loving Aunt Clarice to numerous nieces and nephews; fond sister of James (Fritzi) Needles of Oceanside, CA and the late Janet (Jack) Grove. Clarice was the daughter of the late Clara (Altringer) and James Needles of Dolton. Formerly of Dolton, IL and a 37 year employee of Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Riverdale, IL. She started work there as a telephone operator and was promoted to Supervisor. Mom had many charities she gave to regularly and never turned away anyone who needed help. Although she grew up with not much of a childhood herself, she was determined that her children and grandchildren had everything she did not. Always the giver, that was mom. She will be missed greatly until we all meet again. In lieu of flowers, make donations to a charity of your choice. Services are a private ceremony and burial per Clarice's wishes.
