Hard to believe it is 7 years. I still think of ou high school days and the fact that you were Phil's teacher. May your memory be for a blessing.

I'll never forget riding the bus with Claire, laughing as we hung on to the grab bars. She was such a social person--referred to me as slender,(not skinny). I miss her. Cathy (Basch) Bernstein

Claire looms large in my thoughts. We laughed together all those years ago. My husband was so fond of her also. Art Bernstein died a year after Claire did, here in Oakland California. Memories of youth in Chicago never go away. Art and I missed her warm smile, and always visited her when we came to Chicago.

Claire knew how to make others feel so special and loved. Our senses of humor interlocked perfectly. She is irreplaceable. My best to son, Ron, and to David and family. In Oakland, CA I think of her often.

We don't know how we missed this, because we are three friends of Claires, meeting together once a month, going to plays together, sharing friendship back to when we went to Sullivan HIigh School together. Jill Singer Dick, Dorothy Anderson Metzel and Sherrie Kahn Reddick.'
Dorothy and Jill have been picking her up to join us in Writers Theatre plays, and or the Saturday morning monthly meetings. All of a sudden she stopped answer the phone and the senior living place refused to give us any information.
We're sorry for your loss,.

Claire and I were soul mates. She was a warm and immensely sociable person. We were the closest of friends in Chicago in the 1950's. We travelled to Florida and California. We hung out endlessly, with lots of laughter. The last 55 years it's been a long distance friendship, but we never stopped caring about each other. I'm so sad it has ended.

Claire loved capturing all her happiest family moments with a photo...she cherished every moment with her grandkids and kept those moments with her in those photos. A lovely lesson for all of us...recognize and cherish each moment when you are with the ones you love. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Claire and I were card playing, ice skating buddies in High School. We went to Sullivan and graduated in 1951. Claire was also my youngest sons third grade teacher. She will be sorely missed.
