Claire Guistolise Obituary

Guistolise, Claire G. Born September 27, 1920, strengthened by the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Claire, the beloved wife of Francis, was called to eternal life on July 3, 2014. She left this world peacefully in the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, accompanied by Mary, His blessed Mother, to whom she was greatly devoted and loved with a childlike tenderness. The physical beauty with which she was endowed by the Lord was surpassed by the attractiveness of her great soul. Ever aware of her human imperfections, she never ceased to seek the Lord's merciful love and pardon. She was the beloved wife of Francis to whom she was married for 44 incredibly happy years. She is now reunited with her deceased parents, Robert and Anna Gatti; and deceased brother, Robert Jr., leaving behind her brother, George; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless other admiring friends. The family is especially grateful to the parishioners of Visitation Parish in Elmhurst and Sacred Heart Parish in Melrose Park for their continuous prayers during the last months of Claire's illness. Lastly we thank the medical staff and lay help at Beacon Hill in Lombard for the devoted and compassionate care they gave Claire. Funeral Monday, July 7th, 2014 9:30 a.m., from Russo's Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (between Mannheim and Wolf Road) to Visitation Catholic Church, 779 South York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126. Mass 10:45 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, July 6th, 2014 3:00 9:00 p.m. For additional info, (708) 449-5300. Please visit Claire's personal tribute website at www.russohillsidechapels.com and sign her guestbook. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire's name are asked to be sent to the University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary, 1000 East Maple Avenue, Mundelein, IL 60060.

Auntie Claire, I cannot express the amount of admiration and love I have for you in spite of my absence. You have given me so many great memories growing up some of the best being all the holiday gatherings at your home. Your beauty is way beyond skin deep with such passionate love for God and all his people. You have left a piece of you with me and I will always cherish it. I look forward to being home with you, I will always have a deep special love for you, I am sure you are shining just as beautiful in heaven for God just as you did down here on earth.
