Claire Flint Obituary
Claire Townsend Flint, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Medical Care Center. She was the loving wife of the late Glenn D. Flint. Born March 22, 1927, in San Diego, Calif., she was a daughter of the late William W. Townsend and Elizabeth Johnson Townsend.
Claire was a retired secretary with the Lynchburg City Schools, member of the Suburban Womans Club, Kirkwood Otey Daughters of Confederacy, Garden Club and longtime member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Glenn D. Flint Jr., and a brother, William W. Townsend, both of Lynchburg, and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, July 23, 2010, in the mausoleum chapel of Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Luke Farwell.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Claire to Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church, 5810 Fort Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
