Christine Krupa Obituary

Krupa, Christine M.

Christine M. Krupa, age 75, late of Bridgeport, formerly of Pilsen. Cherished daughter of the late Casimir "Casey" and Lottie Krupa; cousin to many. Christine attended Saint Adalbert Catholic School and Holy Family Academy before earning a Bachelor's in Mathematics and Secondary Education from DePaul University Chicago. She went on to earn two Master Degrees in Mathematics and Education Administration from DePaul and the University of Chicago UIC Circle Campus. She spent 24 years as a Math Teacher at Chicago's Tilden Technical High School before transitioning into a role as an Administrator with the Chicago Board of Education, formally retiring in 2006. Christine was a devote Catholic and regularly attended 6:00 a.m. Mass every Sunday at Saint Barbara Church. She was a founding member of the 6:00 a.m. Monthly Breakfast Club. A passionate gardener, she found joy tending to her yard in the company of her cherished animals. Christine's love for Rock N' Roll took her to many concerts over the years, including those by Sir Paul McCartney, her favorite artist. She often recalled one of the best moments of her life - locking eyes with Paul while in the front row of one of his shows. Christine appreciated and enjoyed the arts, culture, and travel. Her idea of a fun afternoon or night was going downtown for a lunch and a Broadway show. Christine was always quick with a joke or positive comment. Laughing was her way of lifting your spirit. Her legacy is one of compassion and humor. Christine will be remembered for the many moments she spent with family and friends sharing her love and generous heart. Visitation Monday, November 10th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Barbara Church, 2859 S. Throop Street. Con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Interment Saint Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL. Section 50, Lot 2865, Grave 1. A LiveStream of the Service will be available on Christine's online obituary at JohnLigda.com. Additional Information (708) 390-1200.

Christine was a colleague and importantly a best friend. No matter how serious the situation at hand she, sometimes in a "salty" manner, always made me laugh. Knowing Christine enriched our lives in many ways. Her warm Christian spirit, keen insights, and encouragement are now priceless memories that will be greatly missed. I am sure she is now enjoying Heaven with our Lord.

Chris family, words can not be expressed how chris will be missed. I met chris at schools and regions and became great friends. I picture chris upstairs having the time of her new life with her dear cousin, mom, dad, aunts and friends
