Chester Setterlund Obituary

Setterlund, Chester W. World War II Veteran. Age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 17, 2009 in Maplewood, MN. Survived by his wife Jean of 67 years, children, Mary Alice (Robert) Chagnon, Kermit (Corinne), Ralph, Patricia (Dirk) Hample, grandchildren, Amy (Jesse), Tracy, Brett, Blair (Chris), Brianne, Drew, and one great-granddaughter, Emily. Preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Sue Setterlund. He was employed by Otter Tail Power Co. for 40 years. For more than 60 years, he was a member of the American Legion where he held several offices including the 10th District Commander. He was also a member of the Masons, Shrine, and the Eastern Star. He and Jean wintered in Mesa, AZ for 20 years. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:30 AM at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Hilton Trail & Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, MN. Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2009 at HONSA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2460 E. Cty. Rd E., WBL from 4-7 PM, and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Elbow Lake, MN.
