Chester Debski Obituary

Debski, Chester J. age 90, of Hegewisch, IL passed away at his home on Thursday, March 5, 2010. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Julia (nee Demkovich). Survived by daughters: Chris (Joseph) Struzik, Marilyn (John) Hickey, (late Janice) (Marc) Bushman. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Fiancee Robert Gates), Jason (Cheryl) Struzik, great-grandchilren: Natalie and Nathan Struzik. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward (Martha), and Busia Mary Cap. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Sadowski Funeral Home, Chicago, IL 13300 S. Houston and 10:00 a.m. from St. Florian Catholic Church with the Rev. James Mezydlo officiating. Visitation on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the funeral home from 3:00 to 8:00. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Mr. Debski was a member of St. Florian Church. He was a charter member of the Hammond Mohawks and retired from Amoco Oil Company in 1979. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Florian School. Sadowski Funeral Home 773-646-1666.

Uncle Chester was a wonderful uncle. He and Julie were very special to me. When I was a child, they took me places and did things with me that were very special. I loved talking "machine shop" with Chester.
