Charles Fries Obituary

Fries Sr., Charles G. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2004, in the Notre Dame Chapel at Maryville Academy, 1150 N. River Rd., DesPlaines, IL. He was born on May 29, 1917 in Buffalo, NY to Charles P. Fries and Eileen Gould. He died on January 23, 2004, at the Alden Rehab Center in Des Plaines. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie E. Lankes; his children, Charles (Sylvia) and Paul (Karen) Fries and Deborah Vyn; his grandchildren, Amy, Paul (Ida), Michael and Stephen; and his sister, Eileen (Herm) Burnotte of Buffalo, NY. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army. He retired from Sun Electric Corpl after 24 years, and continued to work at Fries Automotive, a family-owned business. Arrangements by: Cremation Society of Illinois, 847-577-6505.
