To the children of Charles Digiacomo...
We never met but your father was my Uncle.
My mom was Madeline ...his sister. I would meet my Uncle Junior on Sundays at times. He would be sitting outside of Nordstrom in
(Oak Brook) reading his newspaper. I am very sorry to just finding out now of his passing now. May her rest in peace.

My heart is broken by the loss of Charlie. He always had compliments for everyone and was such a thoughtful man. "Have another baby" was the first thing he would say to me when he would see me. I remember when my grandmother died and my grandfather was too devastated to go to the wake and the funeral. Charlie stepped up to take care of "Uncle Joe". He sat with him at home during the wake and funeral and then proceeded to check on him often throughout the rest of grandpa's life. I will forever remember how kind he was during that difficult time and how much he helped our family. He and grandpa had a wonderful friendship. Hopefully they are reunited in heaven and Charlie is telling grandpa stories about Vivienne and Fiona. Over the years Charlie has become more of an uncle to me and my family. His presence will be missed at all of our family parties and holidays. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kelly, Nicole and Charles.

My heart is so saddened to hear about Charlie. He was family to us and holidays/family gatherings will not be the same without him. I will never forget when we were kids, he always brought us chocolate covered gummy bears--they were so delicious! And along with those gummy bears were LOTS of laughs and jokes. He always made us smile and laugh. He was a huge support to our family, he even came over when we found our fish on the floor (it jumped out of the tank) and we were too scared to pick it up, he sped over and took care of it. He was always there for my grandpa, especially after the passing of my grandma. My grandpa cherished the friendship he had with Charlie and I hope they are in Heaven reunited and celebrating together, thinking of this makes me smile. My prayers and thoughts are with Charlie's children, I hope you always carry on the good memories and that you find peace and comfort during this time. -Natalie Petrovich
