My husband Ken and I were friends of Charlies as teen agers and young adults. All of our memories are fond ones. We kept in touch for many years but as it happens in life lost contact for the most part later in life. A Mass will be held for Charlie at our request at St. Edward's R.C. church here in Longville, MN where we now live. Our prayers are with you as you grieve.

I will always consider Charlie of my dearest and closest friends. He was always there when I needed a friend and a shoulder to cry on. Charlie was a mentor and a friend. Him leaving the world leaves it a little sadder. It was a privilege and a honor to call Charlie Burger my friend.

RIP Chuck.
We were in the same recruit class and spent many hours together in and out of the Old OBrien Street Academy. Our paths crossed many times over our careers and we shared the same common sense approach to the Job. We were friends, fellow military veterans, and South Siders. You will be missed by many.
